Woodlawn Greenhouses
The greenhouse complex is a state of the art facility, offering the latest in technology for heat, ventilation, watering, and ease of operation. Interesting facts include:
- 10,500 square feet of space
- 60 percent of greenhouse has ebb and flow watering (Sub-irrigation which fills and then releases to an 1100 gallon tank to be used again)
- Three speed cooling system
- Gas fired heating system with day and night temperature
- All heating and cooling is controlled by sensors
- Growing benches on rollers to maximize growing space
- 125,000 plus plants grown for spring season
- Over 4900 graves and corporate beds planted each year
- Corporate beds changed Spring, Summer and Fall
- Education program for elementary school children
Planting are offered to lot holders in a variety of arrangements. Purchases may be ordered on a one year or five year plan. Plantings other than those offered by the cemetery are prohibited.
