Important Information

 

 

Holiday decorations

  • Are allowed one week before the holiday and should be removed within 1–2 weeks after the holiday.

Amount of funeral pieces

  • During the winter months (December 1 through March 5), only three funeral pieces will be left on each grave unless prior arrangements have been made with the cemetery.

Christmas decorations clean up

  • Cleanup will begin on or about January 12, weather permitting.
  • If you wish to keep any decorations, please remove them before the general cleanup begins.
  • Spring cleanup will commence at the beginning of March.

Floral renewal notices

  • Renewal notices are mailed in February.
  • If you do not receive your invoice by the second week of March and wish to order flowers, please contact the cemetery office.
  • To guarantee planting for late May, flower beds must be paid for by April 25. The latest flowers can be purchased is June 15.
  • Red, pink, and white begonias are available.

Artificial decorations

  • Artificial decorations of any kind are not permitted between March 1 and November 1.
  • Cemetery personnel will remove any non-conforming decorations, as well as live potted plants that have passed their life cycle.

Placement of Memorial Day Flags

  • Flags may be placed beginning two weeks before Memorial Day. ]
  • Memorial Day flags for eligible veterans are placed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or authorized veterans organizations, not by cemetery staff.
  • Flags will remain on graves until August 1.

Installation of Markers & Foundations

  • Installation of markers and foundations will begin after the spring thaw, approximately April 15, weather permitting.

Traffic Rules

  • The safety of all visitors is our highest priority.
  • The maximum speed limit throughout the cemetery is 15 mph.
  • All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license; student driving is not permitted.
  • Vehicles must remain on paved roadways and parking areas to avoid damage to cemetery grounds.

Trash Disposal

  • Dumping or disposing of trash on roadways, driveways, paths, walkways, or anywhere on cemetery grounds is strictly prohibited.
  • Violators of this policy will be pursued.

Genealogy Research

  • We have received many requests for genealogy research that we have had to initiate a charge for any requests beyond a two-person request. The cost is $175.00 for this service.
