The 19th Annual Christamas Ecumenical Memorial Service will be held in our Chapel on Thursday, December 5,2019. We invite you to join us in this memorial service as we honor the memory of all who are interred at Woodlawn or any other cemetery. Following the service and tree lighting, a collation will be held in Patton Memorial Hall. The cemetery gates will open at 6pm and a music program will commence at 630pm. Seating is limited and we ask that you do not reserve seats for late arrivals.This program is not recommended for children under the age of 12 years old.

Artificial decorations/Flowers permitted between the periods of November 1st and March 1st. Cemetery personnel will remove any non-conforming decorations as well as potted plants that have passed their life cycle. For a complete copy of Cemetery Rules and Regulations may be obtained at the administrative office or by visting woodlawncemetery.com.

Holiday Decorations brought by visitors may be placed on lot sites one (1) week before the holiday and will remain for one (1) week after the holiday.

Floral placement policy - Only 1-2 arrangements may be placed on any grave at one time. The maximum size pot permitted is 10" in diameter. Non-floral decorations are not permitted. Any items other than flower pots and cut flowers will be removed. Please beware that theft of floral arrangements does occur; therefor you may wish to reduce the costs of floral pieces you place on the grave.

Floral beds will be removed from graves starting around October 10th or sooner if we experience a frost. Prices for 2020 Flower Beds will be available on February 1st. Holiday decorations are allowed starting Decemeber 1st and are removed starting January 6th. Floral program invoices will be mailed mid-February. If you hav enot received your bill by that time or wish to enroll in the program please contact the office at 617-387-0800 and the staff will assist you with your purchase.

Single graves for two and three burials are available in Richardson's Way, these graves include a lawn crypt, to receive the casket and the foundations for the monumnet. The monuments must be two foot wide, three foot high and one foot thick gray granite. Larger lots are also available for burials.

We offer burial space for cremated remains in our Urn Garden. Each Urn Garden grave will accomadate four restricted sized permanent urns. These are flat bronze marker graves. We aslo have niches in our Chapel Columbarium available. For addtional information please call us at 617-387-0800.

Look no further than Woodlawn Cemetery for the ultimate in above- ground memorialization. The Versailles Mausoleum offers crypts in its beautiful climate controlled environment including, singles, doubles and quadruples. If you desire a private setting, the Carthage Buildings offer private family rooms with five and ten crypts. We would be pleased to give you a tour of these facilities.

Grave and lot ownership does not change upon death of the owner; however, upon the death or inability to manage the ownership of the lot/ grave responsibility, it is necessary to appoint a lot/grave representative. If the owner is alive he/she may appoint a representative by completing a lot representative form which is available at the office. If the owner is deceased, all living heirs must submit a signed notarized letter or representative order, stating that they have agreed to have their named person represent the lot owner.

To ensure the safety of all visitors, we enforce traffic issues at all times. All motor vehicles must be kept under control at all times and at no time shall vehicles drive through the gates or within the Cemetery at a speed in excess of 15 miles per hour. All drivers must have in their possession a full and valid license. Student driving is not allowed. Please keep cars off the grass, park on paved roads only.

Rubbish disposal on roadways, driveways, paths, walks or in any part of the grounds is prohibited. We will pursue violators of this policy vigorously.

Checks returned for non-payment will be assessed a $25.00 charge due to the increased administrative costs associated with this issue.

We have received so many requests for genealogy research that we have had to initiate a minimum charge of $150.00 for any requests beyond a two person request.
